Why special issues matter

A special issue is one of the few instruments an individual scholar has for directing collective attention. The themes chosen here track the research programme: internationalisation as an entrepreneurial process, AI-driven knowledge dynamics, digital resilience, and behavioural perspectives on international entrepreneurship.

The 2026 Entrepreneurship and Regional Development issue, co-edited with Budhwar, Korosteleva, Mickiewicz, Nummela, Zucchella and Discua Cruz, is the most direct attempt to consolidate the boundary-spanning agenda.
