Why special issues matter

Guest-editing a special issue is one of the few ways a single scholar can direct a field’s attention to a topic. My special issues follow my research themes, including internationalisation as an entrepreneurial process, AI-driven knowledge dynamics, digital resilience and behavioural perspectives on international entrepreneurship.

The 2026 Entrepreneurship and Regional Development issue, co-edited with Budhwar, Korosteleva, Mickiewicz, Nummela, Zucchella and Discua Cruz, is the most direct attempt to consolidate the boundary-spanning agenda.
