Doctoral studentships
Aston studentships secured in 2024 fund doctoral work on digitalisation in nonlinear internationalisation strategies, the growth and internationalisation of ethnic minority businesses in the West Midlands, and new technologies in service of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Fieldwork
SSHRC and Canadian institutional funding supported comparative fieldwork with entrepreneurs in Iran, Zimbabwe and New Caledonia. The British Academy award supports work on women entrepreneurs in the green economy, and the TÜBÏTAK fellowship funds cross-national Industry 5.0 research with Turkish and British manufacturers.
